Organize

Wisconsin Conservation Voices’ work is all about people. That’s why, for 15 years, we’ve invested in offices and staff in communities across the state. Our field organizers work with amazing people like you every day - volunteers, activists, and partner organizations - to make sure that decision makers in Madison and in city halls and county board rooms are working to protect our water, air, and land. Get involved by contacting your local organizer below. Not sure who to call? Contact field director Seth Hoffmeister at seth@conservationvoters.org.

KATE FLAG.jpg

Kate BEaton, Western Organizer

Do you live in La Crosse, Eau Claire, or elsewhere in western Wisconsin and want to get involved? You’ll want to meet Kate! Kate led the charge in Eau Claire to move the city toward 100 percent renewable energy. She’s a graduate of UW-Eau Claire, where she studied social work and environmental sciences. Join other conservationists and Kate in fighting for clean water, clean energy, and a healthy democracy.

DEE.jpg

Dee Sweet, FIRST NATIONS ORGANIZER

Do you live in northern Wisconsin or in a Native community? Dee is your conservation link to the State Capitol. Dee is Anishinaabe (Ojibwe, White Earth). She’s a graduate of UW-Eau Claire and was Wisconisn’;s poet laureate from 2004-2008. As leader of our Native Vote program Dee works to register voters and educate them about the electoral process. In a public information capacity, she helps build awareness about the environmental issues that tribal citizens in the state and of the Great Lakes region feel most profoundly about; those that not only effect their homelands and their economic livelihood, but their cultural lives and spiritual practices.
